Janey Martino

Janey Martino is the chair and co-founder of the globally recognised health tech platform Smiling Mind, which delivers online mindfulness meditation programs to young people. Smiling Mind is Australia’s #1 mental health app, with more than nine million users of its individual program and the education program utilised in 20% of schools across the country. Janey has built multiple organisations to successful exits across the media, martech, fintech and digital health sectors, including Undertow Media and Shout. As a passionate supporter and participant in the Australian start-up ecosystem, Martino is also an investor and advisor to high-profile start-ups, including Brandcrush, Expert360, Kic and more. She was also an early-stage investor and advisor at Unlockd, eventually leading the business as CEO, and a portfolio advisor and on the Investment Committee of Commonwealth Bank’s x15 ventures.
